  • To raise awareness of attitudes towards accents

  • To talk about accents (and dialects)

  • To predict information before watching the video

  • To listen for gist and for detail

  • To express opinion and reaction to the content of the video

  • To complete a final task of students’ own choice relating to the content of the video

  • To use different tenses to talk about language and accent

  • To learn / review collocations with language and accent
